Desaru Beach

Other place that attracts many tourist come to Johor is Desaru Beach. Desaru Beach is one of the beach and resort area that situated about 88 kilometers from east of Johor Bahru on the South China Sea. With a long 25 km stretch attractive beach, this beach is very popular especially for Singaporean who wants to relax after a tired working days. Other than that, there is also a golf course, Desaru Golf and Country Resort for the golf fans. Even though this beach is not a well-developed resort like Pulau Redang, but there are some activities that could be done here such as surfing, snorkeling and watching fireflies or mostly known in malay as api-api or kunang-kunang.

Surfing at Desaru Beach gives fun and joy for the surfer since the waves are not very huge and strong. Furthermore, the lack of sharks and jellyfish also are the main reason why surfer should be surf here. Instead of that, it is advisable to be aware in December, January and first half of February because it is monsoon season and the waves are constantly high for the surfer. For the surf beginner or people who want to learn to surf, there is a company that offers surf lesson for RM100 and rent surf board service for only RM20 an hour.

In order to watch fireflies in Desaru, people must sail in Firefly River Cruise Tour in the Lebam River. The best hour to sail is after rain on a new moon. This is because there is a lot of fireflies could be seen on that time.

DANGA BAY- EXCITING RECREATIONAL PARK

Danga Bay is one of the main attractions in Johor Bahru. This is because Danga Bay is  the largest recreational park that is situated near Istana Bukit Serene which is  the official residence for the Sultan Johor. Other than that, it is also not far from city center in Johor Bahru. In addition, Danga Bay provide many activities that usually considered to be glam and luxury. There are  lots of fine dines restaurants and retail outlets to be found. As for the children, there are also a lot of interesting activities exclusively for them such as riding bicycle and tricycle, tram ride, skateboarding, RC racing car circuit and playground. Danga Bay 8 is a fine dine restaurant in an exclusive cruiser that sails throughout the straits of Johor while customers are being prepared with wide range of cuisines. This cruise can accommodate up to 480 people for Chinese-style dinner and over 800 people for buffet setting. Other than that, this is the suitable venue to hold a parties, dinners and private functions.
